Volunteers Ready for Harvest Ball October 27

Here are some samples of the displays and decorations that ACA Parent Beth Sugrue and other volunteers have created for the Harvest Ball, which takes place October 27.

Hello, people of ACA.  There is an upcoming event right around the corner. You guessed it, folks, it’s the Harvest Ball.

The event will be held on October 27th, from 7pm to 10pm in the cafeteria, for all kids in grades 7-12th. It’s “Steampunk Frankenstein” themed. There will also be a monster bug haunted house, and lots of loud music. There is no denying that this might be one the most elaborate dances, thanks to our volunteers.

Tickets will be available in Study Hall on October 16th. They are $5.00 when bought in advance but are $8.00 on the night of the event. The tickets include admission to the haunted house. The haunted house will be open from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, and is guaranteed to frighten you. Guests are welcome to come to the dance, but they need to fill out a permission slip from the office for approval. Wear your costumes, but leave any masks and weapons for trick-or-treating.

You might have seen Beth Sugrue and volunteers working on the decorations, in the cafeteria. She has worked industriously on them, since the beginning of the school year, and most of the building and creating is mostly done. Don’t despair, there is still more work to do. They still need people to help set up before the dance and do some tear down right after the dance and the next day.
