National Honors Society

Here at Alliance Charter Academy, there are 20 students involved in the National Honors Society (NHS). They’re all working together to make our school and community a better place.

NHS was created for outstanding students who have gone above and beyond for their education. Across the United states it is estimated that more than 1 million students are involved in NHS. NHS is here to not only recognize students for all they have done, it pushes students to go out into their community and deepen their education through active learning outside of school.

Students choose to join NHS for the best education they can possibly get. They not only learn everyday skills and how to deepen their relationships with people within the community, it is also amazing to have on an application. When colleges see that you are in the NHS it shows motivation and self discipline.

In order to be a part of NHS you have to be invited by a teacher, which means you have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. Following that you will submit a series of forms and write papers about four elements of NHS as well as your past volunteer hours.
