No, that isn’t a typo. ACA’s drama club is doing a production of Alice Threw The Looking Glass, a parody of Strunk and White’s “The Elements of Style”, with the theme of Lewis Caroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

This play follows the tale of Alice, a college student who is failing her English class, the only way to pass being to revise her poorly written essay in an attempt to raise her grades. She is soon pulled into the world of Effingham, where demented duchesses and other crazy characters are all out to consume her essay. This play not only has witty wordplay and grammatical jokes, but also a darker side playing to the more twisted elements of an Alice In Wonderland knockoff. Who knows what the Effinghamites would do just to get a piece of Alice’s essay… All will be revealed come May.

Meanwhile with the help of their director, the actor and director Paul Angelo, the cast rehearses every Tuesday and Thursday to create the best show they can. The actors are as follows:

Ash Scott

Carson Welker

Gavin Young
